Streaming Metal: Metallica Continue To Dominate Apple Music Charts

Data tells a story.

According to the latest ranking over at Apple Music, Metallica has six albums ranking in the top 25 most popular metal albums on streaming service Apple Music, as well as taking out the top spot with the self-titled (aka “Black Album”) Metallica record that was released back in 1991.

When it comes to the top 100, Metallica has an impressive 17 albums represented, followed by Five Finger Death Punch (13 albums), Slipknot (eight albums) and Tool (five albums).

Pantera, Lamb of God, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden are also cut a big chunk of the top 100 pie, whilst Megadeth only has one album featured in the list: Rust in Peace.

It was great to see Amon Amarth, GOJIRA, Dethklok and Mr. Bungle (what?! – but I’ll take that) making the top 100.
